I really enjoyed my internship, I got to experience different lines of service such as Audit, Tax and consulting, which are services I can go into with my Accounting degree. I really enjoyed networking with professionals and getting to see and hear what they do. I really liked it because it gave me a real life example of what I learn in my classes.
What I wish was different
I would not change anything about my internship. It was a great learning opportunity that I enjoyed.
Advice
Always have an open mind and be willing to get out of your comfort zone because that is when you will grow.

What I liked
Great people. Interesting work. Overtime pay was awesome!
What I wish was different
The experience was great but I wish PwC would allow you to work in more industries and different competencies instead of putting you in one from the beginning.
Advice
Work hard and be open to additional opportunities like pro bono work.

What I liked
The people were so helpful.
What I wish was different
I wish it was longer. It was during busy season so it felt rushed.
Advice
I would share that you don’t need to be advanced or even proficient in auditing or tax to get an internship or a permanent position with PwC. You just have to work hard and have a positive attitude. They love to see a person you is putting forth their best effort and is trying!

Core Assurance Intern
June - August 2019 • Portland, OR
What I liked
My favorite part about this internship is that I was immediately exposed to real client assignments and tasks that I will work on when I actually begin my employment with them this coming Fall.
What I wish was different
I wish that I had more time to work with them. I only had around 6 weeks of on-client work and I wish it had been around 10.
Advice
I wish I had heard about these opportunities earlier than two weeks before the applications were due.

International Tax - Financial Services Intern
June - August 2019 • Chicago, IL
What I liked
I enjoyed the culture and when I was given ownership over a few projects. This allowed me to learn and also bring my own skills to the company.
What I wish was different
I wish that I had fewer administrative tasks and got more time for tax research.
Advice
If you want to change what you are doing or want to get another experience, just ask. I was doing billing for a few weeks, but when I told my relationship leader that I wanted to get some client time I was invited to a client meeting the next day.

Strategy & Operations Consulting Generalist
June - July 2022 • Almaty, Kazakhstan
What I liked
I liked the welcoming, friendly corporate culture in the office. I was assigned a mentor on my first day who gave me helpful advice and offered support when I needed it. I also enjoyed working on different projects, which allowed me to learn about different industries and gain new knowledge. In addition, I appreciated the flexibility of my work schedule.
What I wish was different
I wish there was more clear communication of the tasks that needed to be completed for an urgent project. Senior management team members interpreted the project tasks in their own way, and consensus was at times minimal because some team members were unable to attend meetings due to conflicting schedules.
Advice
Be sure to ask questions if you need help or clarification on any task (BONUS: socialize and be part of the team)
